How do the new COVID-19 rules apply from 8th December 2021?

Following on from the Government’s announcement on 8th December, please be aware it is now compulsory for all visitors over the age of 11 to wear a face covering throughout our event unless exempt. They can of course be removed to enjoy your Hot Chocolate and Cookies.

Further to this, we kindly ask that all those attending our event are able to fulfil at least one of the criteria shown below:

• Completion of a full course of vaccination and/or NHS COVID Pass, or

• A negative lateral flow test result taken within 48 hours of arrival, or

• Natural immunity shown by a positive PCR test result for COVID-19, lasting for 180 days from the date of the positive test and following completion of the self-isolation period.

Please note that rules apply differently to children depending on their age but generally for children over 11, a negative lateral flow test or at least one vaccination or with natural immunity.

We will be relying on the honesty of our customers to adhere to the criteria to avoid long queues at the entrance to the site and more importantly, to keep each other safe and comfortable. We will implement mandatory checks on check-in if required to do so by the law. 

You should not attend The Polar Express™ Train Ride if you, or anyone in your party, are displaying any COVID-19 symptoms and we reserve the right to refuse anyone entry who we believe may be in this category.

What we are already doing:
• All our Polar Express trains are fully air-conditioned and replace the air with fresh air frequently through filters.
• All our trains are cleaned between performances.
• All our actors are undertaking daily lateral flow tests prior to coming to work.
• Hand sanitiser is available throughout the event, but we recommend you bring your own small bottle on board the train.
• Disposable facemasks are available should you need one from the check-in desk, free of charge.
